Hi, I'm Gary Hogan, and I firmly believe that passion, discipline, and a touch of courage can transform any challenge into an opportunity for both personal and professional growth. Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a natural tendency to plan and organize everything around me—from school projects to managing family activities. This innate drive led me into the world of Project Management, where I discovered that structure and creativity can go hand in hand.
After earning my degree in Engineering Management, I started my career as a junior project manager at a large tech multinational. Initially, I felt overwhelmed by tight deadlines and teams scattered across the globe. Still, each obstacle became a stepping stone: day by day, I learned how to communicate more effectively, resolve conflicts, and lead people with empathy. Thanks to my determination and a healthy dose of curiosity, I quickly moved into higher responsibility roles, eventually becoming the go-to person for the most complex projects.
Meanwhile, my family life was growing right alongside my career. I’m a husband and a father of two children whom I love deeply, and I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance work and home life. I studied for the PMP certification at night, after putting my kids to bed, or during my lunch breaks—using every spare minute. It was an intense experience, but it opened my eyes: I realized there wasn’t a genuinely comprehensive, up-to-date, and—above all—human study guide that could help people like me juggle multiple responsibilities.
That’s why I decided to write my own PMP Exam Prep guide: a book that isn’t just a list of theories but a genuine “travel companion” for anyone who wants to tackle the exam with confidence and peace of mind. I made sure to include real-world Project Management examples, practical tips, and an agile study style that respects the busy schedules of those who deal with meetings, deadlines, and family commitments every day. I also developed an online 50-hour course for those who flexibly need the required contact hours and an exam simulator that accurately reflects the types of PMP questions.
Today, I continue to work as both a project manager and a trainer, helping driven professionals achieve their certifications and elevate their careers. I believe that success goes far beyond passing a test—it’s about balancing our work aspirations with the people we love. If you also think that Project Management can be a tool for growth rather than just a methodology, then you’re in the right place. It’s an honor for me to guide you through your journey toward PMP certification, helping you handle everyday challenges with greater peace of mind and build the career you’ve always dreamed of.
